What Ookulli does

Upload a service agreement, an NDA or an employment contract, and Ookulli gives you three things:

• A plain-English summary of what your contract means, including the key terms and anything worth knowing before you sign.
• Highlights on the terms that need your attention and on anything missing, each pointed back to where it sits in your document, with the UK law named where there is one.
• A chat for follow-up questions, answered from what is written in your contract.

Who is behind Ookulli

Lóránt Bartha, Ookulli's founder and CEO, started it to give UK freelancers and contractors a way to understand a contract before they sign it.

He started in finance technology at Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan, working on regulatory and compliance systems. Since then he has been at startups building for consumers: education, HR tech, regtech, now this. The products look unrelated. The user is the same one each time, someone handling a decision on their own with nobody obvious to ask.

He writes the guides on the Ookulli blog. They cover what to check in an NDA, how to read a service agreement, what a restrictive covenant can and cannot stop you doing, and the UK law behind them.
